Before your first working day
Confirm your license affiliation, written brokerage terms, market access and the person responsible for onboarding. Identify outside expenses and budget for the time it may take to build your pipeline. A 90-day plan describes actions you can take; it cannot promise a first closing or a level of income.
Ask how your brokerage handles contract questions, first-file review and readiness to work independently. Keep your learning commitments separate from licensing and education requirements, which need their own current review.
Days 1–30: build a foundation
Start with a small set of systems. Set up your profile, learn where transactions and support live, and organize contacts you are authorized to use. Pick a follow-up rhythm you can maintain rather than importing a list without a plan.
At NEX, self-paced LaunchPad gives you a sequence for setup and practice. Pair it with a University lesson related to your next task, then ask a person about the part you do not understand. Preview the Central command-hub lesson to see how learning becomes an exercise.
- Learn to record a contact, useful notes and a next action.
- Practice a buyer consultation and a seller conversation.
- Locate current approved resources for contract and file workflows.
- Make a weekly plan for learning, relationship work and follow-up.
Checkpoint: you can explain your routine, find the right resource and name the person who reviews a brokerage decision.
Days 31–60: put the routine to work
Review tasks consistently, record the outcome of conversations and choose the next appropriate action. Use a branded marketing piece as a practice project, then check advertising and market rules before publishing anything.
Join the next available five-day live training session when the team confirms dates and instructions. Bring a specific question from your self-paced work. Practice the scenario, record the feedback and decide what to repeat.
- Use a CRM task to make a follow-up commitment visible.
- Practice a consultation with another person and ask for feedback.
- Review a sample transaction workflow and its handoffs with support.
- Return to University videos when a real question exposes a gap.
Checkpoint: you have a repeatable week and a short list of skills to practice, supported by recorded actions rather than a promised production target.
Days 61–90: review and refine
Look at the activity you actually recorded. Which follow-ups were completed? Which conversations need practice? Where did a missing resource or unclear responsibility slow you down? Bring those observations to the team.
Choose one change for the next month: a more consistent follow-up block, a clearer consultation, a useful marketing routine or an earlier request for file guidance. Keep the change small enough to repeat and review.
- Close out completed tasks and schedule appropriate next actions.
- Review file and conversation questions with the right person.
- Compare planned time with the time you actually had available.
- Set your next 30-day learning and working priorities.
This suggested plan can move faster or slower with your experience, availability, prerequisites and market access. The NEX fit quiz tailors a game plan to your stated interests without requiring an email to see the result.
