Compare four kinds of help
When you ask a Florida brokerage about agent training, ask what you will actually do in your first week. A large video library, an onboarding checklist and live coaching each solve a different problem. The useful comparison is how they work together for your experience and available time.
Self-paced onboarding
Look for a sequence: profile setup, contact organization, workspace navigation, transaction responsibilities and practice exercises. Ask which steps need human review and where you can resume after a break.
On-demand lessons
Ask to open a lesson that relates to your next task. Can you find the topic, follow the demonstration and apply one action? Hours of content are valuable when the lesson answers a question you can use.
Live practice
Confirm the actual schedule, attendance expectations and how questions are handled. Ask whether you can practice a conversation, receive feedback and bring a difficult scenario from your self-paced work.
Broker and file support
Know who reviews a contract question or a first file and which channel to use near a deadline. A training video cannot approve a brokerage decision or replace the review your situation requires.
Keep brokerage learning separate from licensing, post-license and continuing-education requirements. Confirm applicable requirements with Florida DBPR and the appropriate education provider; do not assume a brokerage course satisfies them.
Turn a lesson into a working habit
Try this sample learning loop before judging a program: watch one buyer-consultation lesson, write down the questions you would ask, practice the conversation with another person and record a next action in the CRM. Bring one unclear point to support. Then repeat the exercise with feedback.
Use synthetic contacts for practice. An exercise should not trigger a real email, introduce private client details into an AI chat or create the appearance that you completed an actual transaction.
- Select one lesson tied to this week’s priority.
- Practice the action with a sample scenario.
- Ask the right person about the uncertain step.
- Record feedback and repeat the action next week.
For an experienced agent, start with a recurring bottleneck such as inconsistent follow-up or a slow marketing workflow. For a team leader, practice the handoff between roles. The starting point can change while the learning loop stays useful.
Bring a training scorecard to discovery
Ask each brokerage the same questions: what is included in my plan, what is optional, who helps when I get stuck, what are the next live dates and how does someone review readiness? Request a demonstration or written answer for each item.
- Can I preview a real lesson and its practice exercise?
- What should I complete in my first seven days?
- How do live sessions build on the self-paced work?
- Which support channel handles a time-sensitive file question?
- Which outside courses, fees or prerequisites remain my responsibility?
Compare the answers with your weekly time budget and the first 90-day guide. A clear routine is more useful than assuming a training promise guarantees a closing.
Explore the NEX learning path
NEX University provides hours of on-demand video content. NEX LaunchPad offers a self-paced path for setup and practice. Five-day live training adds the opportunity to ask questions and build on that work. Confirm current session dates and any prerequisites with the team before planning attendance.
Start with the actual LaunchPad lesson preview, then try a synthetic technology workflow and meet the people behind support. Use your selected goal to build a personalized NEX plan.
